Our boiler is in the loft of our upper flat. Can the new one go there?
Yes, if the loft is set up for it. That means a fixed ladder, a permanent light, a boarded path to the boiler and a guard around the hatch, and many older loft installs have none of these. The condensate pipe also needs protecting from frost. If fitting all that is awkward, moving the boiler down to a cupboard is worth pricing alongside.
