General plumbing across London
A tap that has dripped for months. A toilet that keeps running through half the night. That single radiator in the flat that never really warms up. Jobs like these stay on the list for years because none of them seems urgent by itself. Ninja Plumbers prices them just as it would a larger job, and in most cases they are fixed on the first visit.

Read this before you ring
You may find you can sort some of this yourself, without calling us. We are fine with that, and would rather you knew it.
Three usual causes of low pressure
The first suspect is limescale in a shower head or tap aerator, and quite often that is the entire problem. After that comes a valve on the pipe run that has been left half shut. The third cause, more common in older London homes, is a supply pipe from the street that coped fine until a power shower or modern washing machine began demanding more than it was designed to deliver. We work through them in that order, starting with the quickest and cheapest.
Do not ignore a running toilet
A cistern that never stops refilling can throw away hundreds of litres every day. If you are on a water meter, you will see it on the bill. The fix is usually an inexpensive part and a quick visit.
Find the isolation valves
Under most taps and toilets you will find a little isolation valve fitted to the pipe that feeds them. A quarter turn with a flat-head screwdriver shuts off that one fitting, and every other tap in the house keeps running.
Radiators that stay cold at the bottom
A cold top means trapped air, which bleeding will clear. A cold bottom means sludge has settled inside the radiator, and bleeding will not help in the slightest. That radiator needs a flush.
Older taps in older flats
In lots of London flats, a perfectly good tap sits behind an isolation valve that has seized solid. Bear in mind that a job which looks like ten minutes can now and then grow into something a bit larger. If it does, we tell you before carrying on, not after the work is finished.
What changes the price
There is no single price for general plumbing, because the jobs range from a washer to a new run of pipework. What changes the figure is how long the job really takes once the engineer is looking at it, and what parts it needs.
One job, or a list
A single small job carries the whole cost of a visit on its own. If there are three or four niggles around the house — a dripping tap, a running cistern, a stiff valve — putting them on one visit makes much better use of it.
Standard parts or specific ones
Washers, isolation valves and standard fittings are quick to source. A cartridge for a designer mixer, a replacement valve for an unusual radiator, or a part for an older appliance connection may need ordering. Photos sent beforehand help us bring the right one.
Getting at the pipework
A radiator valve on show is a quick change. Pipework boxed in behind kitchen units, a washing machine wedged into a narrow galley kitchen, or a radiator with furniture built around it takes longer to reach and to put back.
Your first call-out
New customers get £25 off the first call-out with Ninja Plumbers. It cannot be combined with any other offer. Whatever the job, you are told the price for the work and agree it before the engineer picks up a tool.
We agree the price with you before any work begins, and accept both card and cash.
Questions we often get
Is it worth calling you for one small job?
Yes. We quote small jobs just as we do large ones, and they are often finished on the first visit.
Do landlords and agents use you?
Often. We handle repairs, turnarounds between tenancies and reactive maintenance across managed properties. For ongoing arrangements, the management line is the number to use.
Could you install an outside tap?
Yes, it is a job we do often. Water regulations require a check valve to be fitted with it, and that comes as standard.
Is there a callout fee on top of the price?
Before any work begins, you will have a price for the job itself. What that figure does and does not cover is made clear when you agree to it, so nothing unexpected lands on you later.
Can you move a radiator to a different wall?
Usually. The system is drained down, new pipework is run to the new position and the old tails are capped or removed. On a suspended timber floor the pipes can run under the boards; on a solid floor they may have to run along the skirting or be chased in. It is also worth checking the new spot will not be blocked by furniture, which cuts the heat a radiator gives out.
Can you plumb in a washing machine or dishwasher I have just bought?
Yes. If there is already a supply valve and a waste connection where the machine is going, it is a short job. If the appliance is going somewhere new, a supply and a waste have to be run to it, and the waste has to be arranged so dirty water cannot siphon back into the machine. Check the hose lengths before you buy — they are shorter on some models than people expect.
