Bathroom installation in Enfield
- Room for an en-suite or second bathroom in bigger suburban homes
- Vented systems where a new outlet means testing the pressure before picking a shower
- Loft conversions that put the new bathroom above the existing tank
Enfield’s interwar and post-war semis often have a bathroom over an integral garage or a porch, which means a cold floor and pipes crossing unheated space. A refit is the time to insulate beneath the floor and keep supply pipes on the warm side of that insulation, so a hard frost does not split them. Older houses around Enfield Town may still have a cast iron soil stack on the back wall, and connecting a new WC into a cracked one is a false economy. Big plots help with the practical side. Most houses have a drive, so a skip can sit off the road without a permit and the van can park close to the door. If the airing cupboard is being given up for a larger shower, the cylinder needs a new home first, and in a semi with a small loft that decision can shape the whole layout.

Questions we often get
Do you work in Enfield?
We do. Enfield falls within Enfield, covering the EN1, EN2, EN3, N9 postcodes, and our engineers are out across Greater London from our Fulham office every day.
Is a shower possible in our loft conversion?
Most of the time, though pressure needs answering first. With a gravity-fed system, a loft bathroom is close to the tank and gets very little head, often too little for a decent shower unless you add a pump. We look at the system before you pick anything, as learning this with the wrong shower fitted is a costly lesson.
We want a shower room in our garage conversion. Can the waste reach the drain?
Usually, and gravity is always the first option. On a large Enfield plot the nearest inspection chamber may be some distance away, so we check its depth and position before you fix the layout. If the fall is not there, a pumped waste unit is the fallback, with power and access for servicing. The conversion itself will involve building control, so it helps to settle the drainage before those drawings are finished.
How much will it cost?
Before an engineer starts, you are given a price for the job. Should something hidden in a wall change what is needed, we stop and discuss it with you first, instead of pressing on and sending the bill later.
