Vokèra boilers
Now sold as Vokèra by Riello, the brand has made domestic boilers for the UK long enough that a large number are still on walls. Ninja Plumbers finds them around London in homes that had a new boiler at some point in the 2000s or 2010s. The current range is still on sale and supported.
The Vokèra range
Vokèra sits within Riello, the Italian heating group, hence the name Vokèra by Riello on newer boilers. It sells combi, system and heat-only gas boilers in the value-to-mid market, and installers fitted them in large numbers through the 2000s and 2010s, which is why so many turn up in London flats and terraces. Older models include the Mynute, Linea and Compact, and on many of those, age is now the main question.
Faults we often find on Vokèra boilers
- Boilers from the 2000s nearly past the point where repair pays
- Faults with pressure and sensors, common on combis with long running hours
- Boilers that have outlasted the radiators and controls around them
- Pressure relief valves dripping outside because system pressure is too high
- Combis squeezed into small flat cupboards, where access dictates the job
This list reflects what Ninja Plumbers finds across Vokèra boilers in general. It is not a diagnosis of yours, and we confirm any fault on site before giving a price.
Vokèra servicing
The warranty on newer models usually depends on a yearly service and registration, so check your warranty terms. Alongside the standard checks, the pressure relief pipe outside is worth a look: a drip from it suggests pressure running too high, often a vessel that has lost its charge or a filling loop left slightly open.
Repair it or replace it?
A Vokèra from the last ten to twelve years is usually worth repairing. On a unit approaching twenty, we check the part for your fault can be sourced before quoting, and if a major part fails at that age, replacement is normally the better spend. If the boiler has outlived the radiators and controls around it, a replacement is the time to deal with those too.

Questions about Vokèra boilers
- Are parts still available for an older Vokèra?
- Yes, for the usual failures on the newer boilers still in use. On boilers nearing twenty years old it is more hit and miss, and worth confirming before you commit to a repair. We check the part can be had before we quote.
- Are Vokèra and Riello one company?
- Vokèra belongs to Riello, so newer boilers carry the name Vokèra by Riello. For a repair, the exact model on the data badge matters more than the name on the case.
- Why does the hot water from my Vokèra combi run hot then cold?
- A few things can do it, and we would sooner check than guess. Limescale on the hot water side is common in London, and a sticking diverter valve has the same effect. A combi also needs a minimum flow to keep the burner alight, so a tap only just open can make the temperature go up and down.
- Can you repair and service my Vokèra boiler?
- Yes. Our gas work is done by Gas Safe registered engineers, as the law requires for any gas boiler, whatever the make.
We handle every make of boiler
